Touchdown (Week 1)

The long awaited day arrived as we ended our last paper - Networking.

We'll miss you all!
Our family and friends saw us off at the airport, together with some lecturers. It was hard to say goodbye but we had to leave before the gate closes (lol). Anyway, the 6 hour flight was really long.

When we reached, we had to locate our bus stop and purchase our bus tickets to go to Chuncheon to meet our buddies.
The bus ride from Incheon airport to Chuncheon took a solid 2Hour and 30minutes. We just slept our way through the journey.

Hallym University here we come!

Our bed + comforter

Our buddies then helped us to register.
There after, we grabbed our luggage and checked out our dorms.
The windows are very dirty and the drawers are dusty. It's nothing
we can do but we can clean them!

We were hungry so we went to hunt for food around the area.
We realised we couldn't read the menu and didn't know what we were going to order. Most of the stores only had Korean words on their menu!!!!!!!
Probably 30 minutes later, we found a pizza place.

YAS PIZZA

Yessss.  Pizza.
It costs 13,000Won (~$SGD16) for a regular Hawaiian without drinks.
When I say crust, you'd think it's crispy and hard. BUT THIS ONE IS CHEWY!!!!
How can a pizza taste this good with bread-y crust?
We will definitely go back again to try the rest of the menu.

After we had our fill, we walked around. We managed to find our way to a location called the underground shopping centre. Before that, we found a mini sunflower garden! We walked around for quite a bit before reaching the center.

Look at this beautiful flower
Underground shopping centre!
The shops were laid out like Bugis Street, rows and rows of shops aligned by the side. They had Innisfree, Face Shop, Skin shop, tons of shoes and clothing shops as well as handphone shops.

Much to our amusement, we found a Korean bookstore! It was really interesting to see best seller books being re-written in Korean.

It was really exciting to be in a new environment. We cannot wait to attend classes tomorrow!
Good luck and cheers!
